Arrive at Kilimanjaro airport and transfer to Arusha. Visit Tarangire National Park, famous for its abundance of elephants and baobab trees. Experience the local way of life with a visit to Mto wa Mbu. Enjoy a bike ride to Lake Manyara. Then off to Serengeti National Park for a safari to spot the Big Five. Make your way back through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area to Karatu. Spend your final few days on the white sand beaches of Zanzibar.

Day 1 – Kilimanjaro Airport to Arusha
Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) and transfer to Arusha.
Day 2 – Arusha
Meet with Karin in the morning at your accommodation and go through the itinerary. Spend the rest of the day relaxing next to the swimming pool, or head into town and experience some local life. You can stroll around the lively markets or visit the Cultural Heritage gallery.
Day 3 – Arusha to Tarangire National Park
Meet your private driver to start your safari. Private transfer to Tarangire National Park. Pick the driver's brain as they are well educated and have a lot of knowledge about the country, wildlife and culture. Tarangire National Park may not be a very famous park, but it has a lot to offer! It is well known for its abundance of elephants and baobab trees. En route to Tarangire National Park, pass through Maasai villages and see the Maasai herding their cattle. At the end of the afternoon you will drive to the tented camp where you will stay overnight.
Day 4 – Tarangire to Mto wa Mbu and Lake Manyara
Enjoy breakfast then transfer to the village of Mto wa Mbu. The fertile area has attracted many different people from various backgrounds, including up to 40 different tribes.
In the afternoon, enjoy a bike ride to Lake Manyara. Later in the afternoon transfer from Mto wa Mbu to your next lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 5 – Manyara to Serengeti National Park
This is it, today you make way to Serengeti National Park! Serengeti National Park is one of the most famous and impressive wildlife parks in Africa. Spot the big five and a vast array of other wildlife, including elephants, Grant’s gazelles, Thompson’s gazelles, elands, impala, giraffes, zebras, buffalo, and wildebeest. Perhaps even witness one of the greatest spectacles on Earth, the great migration!
Day 6 – Serengeti National Park
Wake up early for breakfast then it's off for another game drive. Be on the lookout for lions, leopards, hyenas, and much more. The open plains also form an ideal hunting ground for the fastest mammal on earth: the cheetah.
Day 7 – Serengeti to Karatu
Enjoy a morning game drive, then drive through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Here you get a chance to see how the Maasai live as you pass their villages. Transfer back in Karatu, where you will spend thenight in a farmhouse. Take a dip in the swimming pool to refresh yourself!
Day 8 – Karatu to Ngorongoro Crater and Arusha
Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, one of the largest intact calderas in the world. While in the crater is another chance to spot the Big Five (elephant, black rhino, buffalo, leopard and lion). At the end of the day you leave the crater to drive back to Arusha.
Day 9 – Arusha to Zanzibar
Transfer to Arusha Airport in the morning and board a flight to Zanzibar!
The first night you will stay in Stone Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Learn about the city's history and how it has become a melting pot of African, Arab, Indian and European cultures.
Day 10 – 14 – Sun, sea and beach
Enjoy the morning in Stone Town to explore the markets and winding roads and alleys. Visit the slave museum, join a spice tour, explore the grand architecture and admire the famous Zanzibari doors. In the afternoon, transfer to Jambiani. Jambiani Beach is miles of startling white sand down the coast, swaying coconut palm trees, and azure blue waters of the Indian Ocean. Spend the next 5 nights here, while taking part in various water sports.
Opt to hop on a cruise on a traditional wooden ‘dhow’ (small wooden sail boat).
Day 15 – Last day – Departure from Zanzibar / Return home
Your Tanzania with Kids tour comes to an end today. Transfer from your hotel to the airport where you will board your flight home.
